| Product description KYNAR 500 / HYLAR 5000 The basic polymer in Kynar 500 is a fluoropolymer (polyvinylidene fluroride)
which is a molecular bond from carbon, fluorine and hydrogen. Kynar-500-based finishes have been specified by many of the world 's leading architectural firms. The carbon/fluorine bond, one of the strongest molecular bonds known, is the key to Kynar 500's unsurpassed thermal, chemical and ultraviolet resistance properties. With Kynar 500, however, there is more than just the carbon/fluorine bond. That bond is combined with carbon/hydrogen groups to give a unique polarity that enables formulation of a finish with outstanding resistance to dirt retention and environmental aging. That is why a Kynar-500-based finish will look as good years from now as it does the day it goes on. |
