APPLICATION OF PVDF COATING

PVDF coating comes in 2-coat,3-coat or 4-coat systems depending on the selected pp2_a.gif (13657 bytes)

colour. The inhibitive prime and colour coat are necessary for all coating. For certain strong colours and for metallic colours, a third coat called a clear topcoat is required to prevent the deterioration of the metallic flakes and the colour coat. For colour that has poor UV resistance, a fourth coat called a barrier coat is added to prevent UV degradation of the bond between the inhibitive primer and the metal substrate.

DESIGN

1) Maximum Panel Size
    The maximum panel size shall be kept to about 1.56m x 4m.

2) Flatness
     For good flatness, we recommend the following thickness : pp2_e.gif (6450 bytes)
    Smaller Dimension     Minimum Thickness
    <0.5m                        2mm
    0.5 - 0.9m                  2.5mm
   >0.9m                        3mm

3) Panel Shape
    Pantech panel can be designed and fabricated into practically any shape required by the Architech/Designer.

    The base material of Pantech panel is an aluminum alloy of the AA1100 type in H224 temper in thickness of 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3 and 4mm.

    The coating shall meet or exceed the performance specified in AAMA 605.2-90
